Nancy Schimmoller, 89 of Delphos, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025, at St. Rita’s. She had been a resident at Springview Legacy in Lima for the past year.
She was born October 24, 1936 in. Auglaize County to Delmar and Lucille (Dickson) Bowersock who both preceded her in death. On February 19, 1955, she married Donald J. Schimmoller who survives in Delphos.
Nancy is survived by her sons, Richard (Joyce) Schimmoller, and Mark “Doc” (Kelly) Schimmoller, both of Delphos; daughters, Beverly Richardson of Reynoldsburg, Diana (Bruce) Feasby of Convoy, Donna Sargent, Brenda (Donnie Campbell) DeVelvis, and Lisa (Bruce) VanMetre, all of Delphos; sisters, Carol (Denny) Lucas, Linda (Denny) Cotterman, Wilma Hilty, all of Wapakoneta, and Virginia Spoltman of Arizona; brothers, Wayne (Marge) Bowersock, and John (Cindy) Bowersock, both of Wapakoneta; sister-in-law, Mary Bowersock; brothers-in-laws, Thomas Schimmoller of Delphos, and Frank (Kathy) Schimmoller of Sudbury, MA; sister-in-law, Virginia Brinkman of Wickenburg, AZ; 19 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Bowersock and Jerry Bowersock; sisters, Judy and her husband James Steinke, Alice Murray, Deb Steinke, and Pat Burke; brothers-in-law, Don Burke, Walter Brinkman; brother-in-law and his wife, James (Sandy) Schimmoller; and 2 granddaughters, Rene Schimmoller and Heather (Feasby) Cramer.
Nancy was a retired nurse’s aide. Don and Nancy worked together in a home improvement business, and custodian of the library. Nancy worked at the family business, Delphos Poultry. She loved traveling to Florida and Arizona, and spending 25 winters in Mission, TX. She enjoyed lawn mowing and tending to her flowers; a weed never had a chance. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Private burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m.; and from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, also at the funeral home.
