Michael Francis Jackson

VAN WERT – Michael Francis Jackson, 66, of Van Wert passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s.

He was born June 20, 1960 in Lebanon to Walter Whitman and Sarah (Gillespie) Jackson who both preceded him in death. In 1987 he married Vicky (Jacomet) Kayser, they were divorced.

Michael is survived by his sons, Justin Jackson, Nathan (Nikki) Jackson, and Matthew Jackson, all of Delphos; a daughter, Chelsey (Derrick) Vann of Delphos; brothers, Mark (Kelly) Jackson of McKinney, TX, and William (Lisa) Jackson of Navarre, FL; and his grandchildren, Camden Jackson-Turner, Carson Emery Jackson Collins, Grace Jackson, Camilia Rose Vann, Remington Carter Jackson, and Isabella Raelynn Jackson;

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph ‘Denny’ Hainzer and Mary ‘Margie’ Thomason.

Michael had worked many years as a truck driver, then went back into lawn care. He was a member of Delphos VFW, Eagles Aerie 471, and Delphos American Legion. He enjoyed OSU and Pittsburg Steelers football, lawn care, and karaoke singing. Michael will be remembered for his storytelling, his dance moves, big smile and kindness. He never met a stranger.
