Elaine Marie Fought

Delphos-Elaine Fought, age 72, of Delphos, passed away Wednesday October 14, 2026, at St. Rita’s Mercy Health, Lima Ohio.

She was born October 26, 1953 to Harold and Beulah (Aufderhaar) Sandkuhl, both have preceded her in death. On September 22, 1995 she married David Fought, he preceded her in death on March 4, 2026.

She is survived by sisters-in-law, Dianne Heitmeyer of Fort Jennings, Ohio, Peggy (Gerry) Kill of Powell, Ohio, and Kathy Fought of Delphos, Ohio; nine nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Larry Fought, and Bob Heitmeyer.

Elaine was a 1972 graduate of St. Mary’s Memorial High School, a 1976 graduate of Bowling Green State University with a degree in Medical Technology, a 1985 graduate from Ashland Collage with a MBA in Executive Management. She was employed in Healthcare for 39 years, was a Senior Manager of Care Analyst, formerly Laboratory Administrative Director at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was also a Lab Manager for Sonora Quest Labs in Arizona. She was an avid sports fan and loved the Detroit Tigers and Lions and OSU. She retired to Arizona for seventeen years and in 2025 she and David moved back to Ohio. Her primary caregiver back in Ohio was her beloved niece, Jennifer Neidert.

A private graveside burial will be held at a later date.
