Jane Schwinnen

DELPHOS – Jane Schwinnen, 82, of Delphos, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2026 in Saint Rita’s Medical Center.

Jane was born April 6, 1944 in Lima to Lawrence and Mary Agatha (Ebbeskotte) Trentman, who both preceded her in death. On April 12, 1969, she married George Schwinnen, who survives in Delphos.

She is survived by a son, Jeffrey Schwinnen of Delphos; a daughter, Nancy (Troy) Rampe of Kalida; three sisters, Alice Hilvers of Ottoville, Norma (Ron) Wolke of Glandorf, and Ann (Larry) Leis of Delphos; three grandchildren, Brady Rampe, Logan Rampe and Cooper Rampe, all of Kalida.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Trentman, and a brother-in-law, Bob Hilvers.

Jane was a Registered Nurse and homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and St. Rita’s Alumni Association. She was a St. John’s Alumni, and was a St. John’s and Kalida sports fan. Jane enjoyed reading, playing cards and traveling. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026, and also from 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Delphos St. John’s Teacher’s Endowment Fund.
