Steven Lause, 65, of Delphos, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021, at The Meadows of Delphos.
He was born March 4, 1956, to Edward C. and Anna Marie (Suever) Lause, who both preceded him in death. On June 28, 1980, he married the love of his life, Vickie (Rigdon) Lause, who preceded him in death May 30, 2021.
Steve is survived by a son, Derek (Mariah) Lause of San Angelo, TX; grandchildren, Oliver and Evelynn; sisters, Joyce (Jeff) Mohler of Delphos and Kathy Gerdeman of Ft. Jennings; nieces and nephews, Ryan (Virginia) Gerdeman, Erika (Joe Schnipke) Mohler, Ally (Austin) Schroeder, Evan Mohler and Chelsea (Nick Hochuli) Blair; great nieces, Emmerson and Vivian; father-in-law, Franklin Rigdon of Elgin; sister-in-law, Karen (Rick) Hedrick of Van Wert; and a brother-in-law, Frank Rigdon Jr. of Tomah, WI.
He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Lula Rigdon.
Steve retired after working over 20 years as maintenance and electrician at Country Meadows. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing. He enjoyed football, from St. John’s, through Ohio State Buckeyes, to the Miami Dolphins. Steve and Vickie’s dog, Dixie, was a part of their family for 13 years.
A memorial visitation will be held 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth Street, Delphos. A memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Rev. Steve Haddix officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
