Seth E Black

Seth E. Black, 29, of Spring City, Tennessee formerly of Elida, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 16, 2021 as the result of an industrial accident in Tennessee.

Seth was born on December 2, 1991 in Lima to Diane (Morris) Black and Scott E. Black with his father preceding him in death.

Seth’s  survivors include his mother, Diane (Morris) Black and his stepfather, Jim Barker of Elida, his fiancé, Emily Van Winkle of Maynardville, Tennessee, a step sister, Kym (Justin) Smith of Hazel Green, Alabama, his step-nephews and step-niece, Brennen Rose, Logan Smith, Levi Smith, Ethan Smith and Ellie Smith. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Along with his father, Scott Black, Seth was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John E. and Annetta Morris and his paternal grandmother, Dorothe J. Black, and an aunt, Kathy Radick.

Seth was a 2010 graduate of Elida High School and Apollo Career Center. He started his working career at DTR in Bluffton and Cooper Farms in Van Wert. He later decided to relocate to Tennessee where he became a Journeyman at Insulators Local # 46 of Knoxville.

Seth was an outdoorsman, enjoying kayaking, shooting and collecting guns. He was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers sports teams.  He will be greatly missed by so many, especially his family.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Weber Funeral Home 1840 E. Fifth Street Delphos. The funeral service will follow the visitation, starting at 3:00 p.m. with Gage Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer, Ohio.
