Ronald J. ‘Ron’ Suever, age 70, of Elida passed away Friday, February 25, 2022 at 2:07 p.m.at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and family.
He was born June 29, 1951 in Lima to Ralph Suever and Margaret(Ellerbrock) Suever who preceded him in death. On July 8, 1972 he married Michele(Hummer) Suever and she survives in Elida,
He is also survived by his children; Wesley (Jennifer) Suever of Hinckley,OH, Carrie (Matthew) Carmichael of Kearney, MO, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Hickman, Stephanie Suever, and Mindy Clay all of Elida. Eight grandchildren; Joshua, Craig, and Nickolaus Hickman, Trevor Hunt, Emma and Carly Clay, Mason and Dylan Suever. Ron is also survived by his siblings: Donald (Margaret) Suever of Middlepoint, Robert (Ellen) Suever of Delphos, LaDonna (Joseph) Calvelage of Ft. Jennings, Deborah (Donald) Odenweller of Delphos and Nancy Siefker of Elida.
Ron is preceded in death by his son, Gregory Daniel his parents and his in laws, Daniel and Marjorie Hummer.
Ron was a 1970 graduate of Delphos St. John High School. He retired from the Lima Ford engine plant after 30 years and then worked for the Union Sorters. Ron was a loving wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, and NASCAR. He enjoyed watching the games and races with his grandsons and his son in law. Ron deeply loved the Lord and his family with all his heart. Ron will be greatly missed by his family, but, there is comfort in knowing he is in Heaven. He bravely battled cancer and overcame it twice, but God decided to call him home to Heaven this time.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Weber Funeral Home 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos. Visitation for Ron will be on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday also at the Weber Funeral Home, Pastor Rodney Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Allen County Humane Society or to Deb’s Dogs in Ron’s memory.
