Robert E. Stant Sr.

DELPHOS - Robert Stant Sr., 83, of Delphos, passed away Wednesday evening, December 16 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 16, 1937 to Charles and Genevieve (Ellerbrock). He married Marilyn Meeker who died on February 20, 1998. He is survived by, two sons, Robert (Carolyn) Stant Jr. of Delphos and Jeff (Barbara) Stant of Van Wert; two daughters, Julie Hartsock of Van Wert and Angie (Dan) German of Delphos; nine grandchildren, Trisha Stant, Ashley (Adam Childers) Stant, Evan (Whitney Hohlbein) Stant, Aaron Stant, Nicole Streets, Andrew (Taye) Streets, and Abbi Hartsock, Nathan German, Sydney (Kyle Maag) German; four great grandchildren, Carlee, Natalie, Connor and Rhiannan; three sisters, Patty, Janet and LaDonna; and one brother Mike. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and eight siblings. Bob retired after 30 years from the Ford Motor Company Lima Engine Plant in 2002 where he worked as a millwright. He served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. He was a member of the First Christian Union Church in Delphos. Bob's whole life revolved around his children and grandchildren. He and his wife Marilyn spent many hours touring the countryside. Private family services will be held at Weber Funeral Home 1840 E. Fifth Street, Delphos on Saturday, December 19 with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Memorial donations made be made to the First Christian Union Church, Delphos.
