Mr. Carder was born to the late Donald J. and Lucille Hofstetter Carder in Lima, Ohio, was of the Catholic Faith, and an Ohio State Buckeye fan. During his work years, he was active in the Union CWA 3104 where he served as a Representative, Executive Vice-President and as President during the 1980s. Bob had a love for politics and would try and convince you that his side was right.
In his retirement years, Bob enjoyed golf, boating, fishing; but his real enjoyment came when he was able to spend time with his grandson, Ryan. Ryan meant the world to his “Pops” and was Bob’s reason for bragging of what Ryan accomplished through sports and in life; Bob was proud to be his Grandpa.
