Patrick J. “Rick” Stemen, 47, of Delphos, passed away on Friday, November 04, 2022, at 7:24 a.m. at Mercy Health St. Rita’s Medical Center ER.
He was born on March 29, 1975, in Columbus, to Dennis M. and Kathy L. (Martin) Stemen, who survive in Delphos.
He is also survived by his daughter, Hannah at home; two brothers, Michael (Jennifer) Stemen and David (Ginger) Stemen both of Delphos; his nephews Christian, Zachary and Gunnar; his niece Josie; maternal grandmothers, Norma Lusk and Pat Morse; and several aunts and uncles
Rick was a graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School class of 1993 and had been a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
He had been employed with Unverferth Manufacturing for the past two years in the maintenance department. He had worked at Grob in Bluffton as one of their final mechanics from 2012 until he began working at Unverferth’s.
Rick loved the water, especially fishing and kayaking, his dogs and going to concerts. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan, a member of the Black Swamp Pistol and Rifle Club, and a black belt in Karate. Rick was an Eagle Scout and through that he worked at Camp Lakota and the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. He was the go to guy for everyone’s projects to get them completed, usually letting his own things go undone. Rick’s ultimate goal in life was to make his daughter Hannah happy.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
