Luwana Joseph Obituary

Heaven gained a very special woman, Luwana Joseph, of Delphos, on Sunday September 26, 2021. Luwana passed away at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne at 5:56 a.m.

She was born on May 24, 1952, to Eileen (Fought) and William “Bill” Teman; Eileen preceded her in death and Bill survives in Delphos.

On July 26, 1969, she was united in marriage to Ronald Wayne Joseph; he survives in Delphos.

Luwana is survived by her children, Bill (Lisa Horton) Joseph of Lima and Ginger (Dave) Stemen of Delphos; grandchildren, Will Joseph of Delphos, AJ (Dustin) Reed of Kentucky, Christian “Munch”, Zach and Josie Stemen of Delphos and Cambron Gossard of Lima; great-grandchildren, Shaelyn and Hunter Joseph of Delphos, Olivia Reed of Kentucky and Demi Miller of Lima; one brother, William “Tug” (Val) Teman of Delphos and three sisters, Jenni Litten of Vaughnsville, Jayne (Duane) Wagner of Elida, and Stephanie (Glen) Renner of Delphos; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Mike Litten.

Luwana graduated from Delphos Jefferson and Lima Memorial School of Nursing. She worked at St. Rita’s Medical Center for 33 years. She spent 18 of those years in Mother/Baby, 8 in Adolescent Psych and 7 years in Medical Records. She enjoyed riding bikes, barbeques and family gatherings. She had a love of wildlife, feeding her many raccoon friends daily. Luwana was an extremely generous person. After retirement she worked at Speedway.  On numerous occasions she was known to personally pay for items for those in need.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Every chance meeting with Luwana was always accompanied by an infectious smile and a heartfelt compliment. Her kindness and generosity has touched so many of our lives and the love that she has given will rest on our hearts forever. We will celebrate and remember the beautiful life that Luwana lived and her smile will live on forever.
