Laverne Frank Stirn

Laverne Frank Stirn, 87, of Delphos, passed away Monday afternoon, July 11, 2022, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s.

He was born April 29, 1935 in Delphos to Lowell and Margaret Ann (Miller) Stirn, who both preceded him in death. On September 2, 1956 he married Frankie (Jenkins) Stirn, who preceded him in death on August 12, 2018.

He is survived by three sons, Steven L. Stirn of Delphos, Barry (Jane) Stirn of Elida and Brian Stirn of Delphos; a daughter, Kimberly Lackey of Lima; 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by a half sister, Mildred Pfieffer.

After graduation, Frank worked at the Russell Company in Pandora for 12 years. In 1966 he began working for Chrysler Corporation in Van Wert, he then transferred to Chrysler in Rockford, Illinois. He retired in 1998 from Chrysler, after working there for 33 years.

A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at noon on Monday, July 18 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos with Rev. Kevin Hall officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until noon before the service Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Trinity United Methodist Church. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
