Kenneth ‘Benny’ Rahrig, 72, of Landeck, passed away Monday morning, December 26, 2022, at Van Wert Health.
He was born November 21, 1950 in Lima to the late Paul and Cecilia (Noonan) Rahrig.
Ken is survived by his children, Heather (Bill) Dickson of McDonald, TN, Nathan (Suzanne) Rahrig of Delphos and Amber (Ryan) Pohlman of Lima; five grandchildren, Hannah, Courtney, Rachel, Tristan and Brekken; one step-granddaughter, Sabrina; three great-grandchildren; and siblings, Clifford Rahrig of Delphos, Patricia (Jack) Kane of Cleveland, Sheila Rodgers of Grandville, Michigan, Paula (Jim) McNamara of Delphos, Myron (Jane) Rahrig of Landeck, Keith (Tess) Rahrig of Delphos, David Rahrig of Landeck, Dennis Rahrig of Landeck, Charles ‘Chuck’ (Lisa) Rahrig of Venedocia, LeAnn Rahrig of Cleveland, Christopher Rahrig of Landeck and Kevin (Cindy) Rahrig of South Bend, IN.
He was also preceded in death by sisters, Karen Santoro and Margaret Rahrig; a sister-in-law, Darla Rahrig; and a brother-in-law Don Rodgers.
Ken was a retired self-employed contractor. He served in the United States Army. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Delphos VFW. Benny enjoyed hunting and golfing and especially loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids. He looked forward to the yearly brothers’ trips and enjoyed lunches at the VFW with Keith and whoever was there to talk.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 30 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Landeck. Burial will follow in Landeck Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW High School Graduate Scholarship Fund. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
