Joann M. Klausing, 89, of Delphos, passed away very peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, September 4th, which would have been her 69th wedding anniversary, at the Meadows of Delphos.
She was born July 22, 1934 in Delphos to the late Joseph and Lenore (Rellinger) Brinkman. On September 4, 1954, she married the love of her life, Donald Klausing, who preceded her in death on June 15, 1997.
Joann is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Mike) Edelbrock and Susan (Kerry) Neumeier both of Delphos; and seven sons, Thomas (Victoria) Klausing of Bonita Springs, FL, William (Leslie) Klausing of Delphos, Dennis (Connie) Klausing of Delphos, Joseph (Bonnie) Klausing of Delphos, John (Deb) Klausing of Crown Point, IN, Michael (Karen) Klausing of Delphos and Charles Klausing of Quincy, MI; 30 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Gene Price of Van Wert.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Donna Brinkman and Bob and Pat Brinkman. Her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Leonard Klima also preceded her in death. Joann also lost a daughter-in-law, Rebecca Klausing and a granddaughter, Aubrey Klausing.
Joann was a member of Delphos St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a homemaker who devoted her life to raising her nine children. Joann was a very simple and quiet woman who enjoyed spending her winters reading or watching NCIS, and her summers at Marble Lake with family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
