Jason R. Ostendorf, 47, of Delphos, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021, at Mercy Health – St. Rita’s.
He was born June 19, 1973, in Celina. His parents are Stephen and Rebecca (Moon) Ostendorf, who survive in Delphos. On November 6, 1999, he married Allisha (Mesker) Ostendorf, who survives in Delphos.
He is also survived by his children, Emily, Maya and Nathan Ostendorf, all at home; three brothers, Jaime Ostendorf of Canton, Joseph (Crystal) Ostendorf of Elida, and Jeffery (Andi Lynn) Ostendorf, of Van Wert; a sister, Meghan Ostendorf of Delphos; in-laws, Anthony and Margaret Mesker of Delphos; a sister-in-law, Kimberly Godwin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Richard Moon, and LaDonna and Lawrence Dieringer; paternal grandparents, Ralph and LaDonna Ostendorf; maternal grandparents-in-law, Melvin and Helen Meyers; and paternal grandparents-in-law, Frank and Dorothy Mesker.
Jason was a 1991 graduate of Delphos St. John’s, and went on to receive his associate’s degree in HVAC from Terra Tech in Fremont. While in high school, he worked at Jack’s Pizza. He began working at All Temp washing trucks, and became full time in 1993 working in HVAC. Jason was an avid hunter, fisherman, and very much loved the outdoors; he considered a day of cutting wood as being fun.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 26 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
