Gary Kroeger Obituary

Mr. Gary Arthur Kroeger, age 84, of Loganville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 28, 2023. He was born on May 16, 1939, in Lima, Ohio, to his loving parents, Dorothy and Arthur Kroeger, who have preceded him in death.

Gary, or "Doggie Fish" as his children (“yard birds”) affectionately knew him, was a remarkable man of many talents and boundless ingenuity. He possessed an innate ability to work with his hands, a skill that allowed him to fix anything that crossed his path. Beyond his handiness, he was known as the inventor of countless innovations, leaving a legacy of creativity and problem-solving that will endure through the ages.

Throughout his life, Mr. Kroeger demonstrated unwavering devotion to his family. He was a loving husband to his cherished wife of 64 years, Ruthann Kroeger. His children, Stephen Kroeger (Kathy), Timothy Kroeger (Susan), Debra Koskinas, Jeff Kroeger (Joan), and Todd Kroeger (Tina), all had the privilege of calling him their father. Gary's role as a grandfather brought him immense joy, and he leaves behind a legacy of love to his grandchildren, Brandon Kroeger (Tiffany), Matthew Kroeger, Michael Kroeger, Phillip Koskinas, Kevin Koskinas (Lizzy), Hayley Kroeger, Ryan Kroeger, Ashley Kroeger, and Kyle Kroeger. He was also a proud great-grandfather to Jack Kroeger.

In addition to his immediate family, Mr. Kroeger is survived by his sister, Linda Ellerbrock (Ron), and a host of nieces, nephews, other cherished family members, and close friends who will forever treasure the moments they shared with him.

Gary was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years, a testament to his commitment to service and community. His impact on the lives of those he touched through his charitable work will be remembered and appreciated by all.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 6 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, a  K of C Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. prior to the Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m.  In his passing, he leaves behind a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on through the stories and memories shared by those fortunate enough to have known him.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Mr. Kroeger's memory to the Knights of Columbus or a crisis pregnancy center near you. Gary's legacy of love, inventiveness, and unwavering dedication to his family and community will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
