Eloise Tigner Obituary

Eloise Kay Tigner, 85, of Lima, passed away 6:35 a.m. Friday, June 04, 2021, at Vancrest of Delphos.

She was born September 6, 1935 in Akron to the late Gerald K. and Hazel (Golliff) Kohli. Kay was married to Francis McNeal from 1953 to 1971.  On April 15, 1972 she married Robert E. Tigner who preceded her in death on May 26, 1994.

Kay is survived by three sons, David (Sue) McNeal of Delphos, Douglas (Margie) McNeal of Ft. Jennings, and Daniel (Jacque) McNeal of Elyria; four daughters, Judie (Mario) Tata of Lima, Sally (Don) Goodman of Lima, Valera (John) Keller of Lima, and Brenda (Eric) Harper of Grayson, Georgia; a brother,  Merle (Mary Bell) Kohli of Chapin, South Carolina; a sister-in-law, Arlene Kohli of Apple Valley; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Jamie Coffman; two brothers, Stanley Kohli and Gerald Kohli, and two sisters-in-law, Barbara Kohli and Margorie Kohli.

Kay was a 1953 graduate of Spencerville High School. In 1994 she received an associate degree in Social Work. She was a member of Delphos Eagles Auxiliary 471, being a past president. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Lima.  She had been employed with the Lima City Schools retiring in 2009. Kay loved to play Bingo, she was an avid collector of cow memorabilia, and she had and loved to care for her house plants. But most of all she loved the time she spent with her loving family.


A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth Street, Delphos, the Rev. David Ross, officiating.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Delphos.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Friday, June 11, 2021 and one hour prior to the service on Saturday  at Weber Funeral Home, where an Eagle’s Auxiliary Memorial Service will begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Parish Wake Service  at 7:45 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to that of the donor’s choice.  Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
