Eloise had worked for the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Fund, then at the Allen County Auditor’s office for 45 years, retiring in 2012. She also worked part time for the German Mutual Insurance office and in the office at Shumaker Plumbing and Heating. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister and volunteered at the Ministry Center as a Sunday donation envelope counter. She very much enjoyed volunteering at the Delphos Inter Faith Thrift Shop, and with the Red Cross Blood Mobile at the Charter House in Lima and the Delphos KofC and helped at the Delphos Canal Museum when needed. She proudly donated over 28 gallons of blood over the years and in 2019 was the recipient of the Humanitarian Services Award for the West Central Ohio Chapter of the American Red Cross. She was an Allen County Board of Elections poll worker for 0ver 50 years, most recently as Voter Manager. She is also a former Phi Delta Sorority President and a member of the Delphos Eagles.

Eloise loved volunteering, if something needed to be done or a volunteer was needed, she was right there to take part. She enjoyed trips with her siblings, on her bucket list was a trip to Hawaii, which she made with her family in 2016. She loved watching and being involved with each of her kids, right down to the great grandkids and their many activities. She gave her family a great work ethic and taught them if you wanted something you worked for it.
