Elizabeth Anne Wiford

Elizabeth Anne Wiford, 86, of Elida, passed away February 14, 2024 at Indianapolis University Hospital following a brief illness.

She was born August 27, 1937 in Urbana to the late Ellsworth and Nancy (Stone) Wiford.

Elizabeth graduated in 1955 from Elida High School. She went on to graduate from Richard Weston School of Beauty Culture, where she made lifelong friends. Later she graduated from Northwestern School of Commerce. In 1963 she married Thomas R. Lange (deceased) with whom she had five children.

Elizabeth is survived by three daughters, Lisa (Carroll) Teman, Lynne (Michael Zerkel) Lange both of Delphos, Laura Lange-Wiford of Elida; a granddaughter, Amanda Teman and a great-granddaughter, Madalynne Elizabeth Marks-Teman both of Delphos.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Mark Lange-Wiford and Matthew Lange-Wiford.

Elizabeth made friends easily because she was kind hearted and really listened to people. As a mother with the most beautiful green eyes, she was protective of her children. She was looking forward to seeing her great-granddaughter grow up.

She loved watching classic movies on TCM, especially on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. She followed politics religiously in every media outlet available to her. She was looking forward to the election in November. Elizabeth loved animals; her pets were family.

A private graveside service was held at Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be shared at weberfh.net. Arrangements were entrusted to Weber Funeral Home, Delphos.
