Eileen A. Suever, 95, of Middle Point, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023 at Van Wert Manor.
She was born March 4, 1927, in Delphos to the late Edmund A. and Hilda A. (Lause) Hesseling. She had been married to Arthur J. Suever, who preceded her in death on October 28, 1989.
Eileen is survived by a son, Ronald J. (Pam) Suever of Elida; two daughters, Mary Ann Suever of Middle Point, and Lori E. Suever of Van Wert; a daughter-in-law, Cheryl Suever of Florida; 13 grandchildren, Jason Wright (Deceased), Gina (Josh) Predovich, BJ (Patti) Frueh, Tammy (Wayne) Vanderlois, Missy Suever, Lauren (Nick) Sheehan, Brandon Suever, Dawn (Terry) Pohlman, Bridgett (Pete) Williams, Dave Suever, Kim Suever, Adam Suever and Joey Suever; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alice (Robert) Rayman of Romeoville, IL, and Lois (Rodney) Wurst of McCormic, SC; and a sister-in-law, Margie Kroger.
She was also preceded in death by three sons, James E. Suever, David E. Suever and Joseph N. Suever; two brothers, Norman ‘Red’ (Norma) Hesseling and Ervin (Rita) Hesseling; sisters-in-law, Dolores Gasser, Lucille (Joe) Gasser and Harriet ‘Babe’ Croy.
Eileen was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and VFW Post 3035.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Parish Foundation. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
