Dolores J. ‘Dolly’ Honigford, 91, of Landeck, passed away Tuesday morning, November 26, 2024 at Vancrest of Delphos.
She was born February 27, 1933, in Ottoville to the late Albert and Hildagarde (Martin) Grothouse. On September 26, 1953, she married Richard J. ‘Dick’ Honigford who passed away January 2, 2021.
Dolly is survived by a son, Kenneth (Jami) Honigford of Monroeville; two daughters, Barb Ebbeskotte, and Carol Ricker, both of Delphos; a daughter-in-law, Sue Honigford of Delphos; a sister, Agnes Miller of Delphos; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Walsh of Lima, Betty Wannamacher of Elida; 11 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen Honigford; a son-in-law, Louis Ebbeskotte; a grandson, Jason Ebbeskotte; brothers, Dick Grothouse, Ronnie Grothouse and Rudy Grothouse; a sisters-in-law, Judy Grothouse, Carol Grothouse and Dorothy Fuerst; brothers-in-law, Tom Miller, Paul, Harold, Jerry and Joseph Honigford.
Dolly was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She was retired from Aeroquip, and had been a cashier at Kroger, and then Pangles Market. Dolly was the perfect image of a farmer’s wife; she loved the farm life. Well known to the family for her peanut butter Rice Krispie treats and coconut cream pies.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Landeck. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A visitation will be held 2:00-6:00 p.m. Friday, November 29 at Weber Funeral Home, Delphos. A parish wake service will begin at 5:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
