Carl Suever Obituary

Carl R. Suever, 95, of Delphos, passed away Tuesday morning, March 9, 2021 at The Springs of Lima. He was born September 5, 1925 in Landeck to the late Albert Joseph and Leona (Stippich) Suever. On October 21, 1950 he married Lois Ann (Limbrecht) Suever who preceded him in death on August 15, 2010. Carl is survived by three sons, Tim Suever of Lima, Brad Suever of Delphos, and Ted (Kellie) Suever of Elida; two daughters, Lynn Bowen of Lima, and Lisa (Chuck) Bergfeld of Delphos; eight grandchildren, Trent (Sierra) Suever, Heather Bergfeld, Taylor (Britton) Kocher, Kenzie Suever, Erika Suever, Zach Suever, Sheena Behr, and Travis Bowen; and ten great-grandchildren, Elijah Hyde, Adrienne Kocher, Easton Suever, Eden Kocher, Kashton Suever, Tori Norris, Kylie Behr, Kaitlin Behr, Travis Bowen, and Logan Bowen. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Suever; and three sisters, Velma Julia Suever, Margaret Lause and Eileen Lause. Carl served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was the owner of Suever Stone Quarry, which was the family business started in 1888. Carl was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Delphos Jaycees, the Delphos Eagles Aerie #471, the Knights of Columbus Council 1362, The Delphos Club, and the Lima Elks #54. Carl and Lois enjoyed traveling together. He was so proud and loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 11 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Military honors will be conducted by Delphos Veterans Council following the service at the church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. A private family visitation will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Parish Foundation, St. John's School, American Heart Association, or the Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
