DELPHOS – Barbara Ann Seffernick, age 79, of Delphos, passed away Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Meadows of Delphos.
She was born September 22, 1943, in Lima, to Marcellus and Doris (Roach) Clement, who both preceded her in death. On October 13, 1962, she married Alfred M. Seffernick, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2004.
Barb is survived by her children, Karen (Dan) Krietemeyer of Ft. Jennings, Keith (Cindy) Seffernick and Amy Seffernick, both of Delphos; five grandchildren, Melissa (Kyle) Hughes and Rachel Krietemeyer, both of Cincinnati, Jason Krietemeyer of Ft. Jennings, Gage (Lindsey) Seffernick of Delphos and Gavin Seffernick of Delphos; two great-grandchildren, Xander and Laikyn Seffernick and another one on the way; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Clement of Mansfield; and in-laws, Lewis Seffernick of Decatur, IN, Joe Seffernick of Geneva, IN, Michael (Kathleen) Seffernick of Bucyrus, Stephen Seffernick of Delphos, Denny (Jan) Seffernick of Swanton, Susan Griffis of Grand Rapids, MI, Beckie (Steve) Vaniman of Kalkaska, Michigan, Mary Ann (Tony) Romaker of Bowling Green and Tom (Sharon) Seffernick of Rocky River.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter Betsy; her brother, Jim Clement; a sister and brother-in-law Betty and Rich Hugel; in-laws, Betty Seffernick, Linda Seffernick, Wade Griffis and Sue Seffernick.
Barb was a Registered Nurse, having worked at St. Rita’s Medical Center, Delphos Memorial Home, Vancrest and The Van Wert Manor. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, where she was a member of the adult choir. She had also volunteered at the Delphos Canal Museum where she served as a trustee. Barb and Alfred enjoyed traveling, her favorite destination was Myrtle Beach.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March14, 2023 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
