Vaneta Marie Teman, 90, of Delphos, passed away Thursday evening, November 20, 2014, at her home. Her Family.... She was born July 23, 1924 to the late Frank and Vera (Holden) Best. On October 25, 1946 she married Harold E. Teman who preceded her in death November 3, 1994. She is survived by two sons, Michael ‘Mick' (Kay) Teman of Ft. Jennings and Roger Teman of Delphos; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Teman of Delphos; five grandchildren, Nichol (Mark) Slate of Delphos, Kristina (Greg) Clouse of Lewis Center, Carrie (Tony) Rahrig of Delphos, Chad (Lindsey) Teman of Delphos and Jason (Becky) Teman of Texas; eleven great-grandchildren, Courtney, Kaitlyn and Brandon Slate, Michael Clouse, Ellie and Evan Rahrig, Carter, Camden, Blake, Haley and Jarrett Teman; two sisters-in-law, Millie (Marvin) Spitnale and Kay Best, both of Delphos; brother-in-law, Oren Kettler of Monroe, Michigan. She was also preceded in death by a son, Terry L. Teman and an infant son, Bruce Teman; siblings, Howard Best, Evelyn Jones, Gene Best, Helen Bible and Phyllis Kettler. Her Legacy.... Vaneta was a devoted mother, wife, grandma and great-grandma who made great sugar cookies. She loved to tend her garden and enjoyed canning. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, volunteering many years at the church festival. Her Farewell Services.... Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 25 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Ron Schock officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday at Strayer Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
