Sylvia A. Britton

Sylvia A. Britton, 85, of Delphos, passed away Monday afternoon, October 24, 2022, at The Meadows of Delphos with her loved ones at her side.

She was born December 13, 1936, in Lima to the late Lewis and Mabel (Loescher) Burden. On June 30, 1967, she married William Britton who preceded her in death on November 19, 2016.

Sylvia is survived by a son Jeffrey Whitehurst; two daughters, Sharon Musselman and Shelley (Paul) Taylor; a sister, Bonita (Dennis) Bowers; a sister-in-law, Karen Pierce; grandchildren, Christina Renner, Melissa Musselman, Candie Whitehurst, Audrey Lemaster, Nikki McCoy, Tracie Granlund, Stevie Garrett, Shanon Watson, Dakota Matz, Paul Taylor Jr. and Sarah Armentrout; 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Alan Whitehurst; son-in-law, Gary Musselman; daughter-in-law, Mary Whitehurst; and a brother, Richard Burden.

Sylvia had worked for over 20 years at Gavin’s Ace Hardware in Florida.

It was Sylvia’s wishes to be cremated. A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. November 12, 2022 at the Delphos Eagles. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
