Sharon Ann (Hoffman) Carmack

Sharon Ann Carmack (Hoffman), 50, of Lima, passed away surrounded by her family, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the James Cancer Hospital, after a short battle with cancer. Her Family.... She was born July 8, 1965, the daughter of Dale and Carmen (Strick) Hoffman. On November 12, 1995 she married David Carmack. She is survived by her husband, David; daughters, Danielle and Samantha both of Lima; mother, Carmen Hoffman of Lima; brother, Bruce (Theresa) Hoffman of Lima; sister, Sue (Les) Young of Lima; three nieces, Tess (Ryan) Gren, Sarah Hoffman and Britt Young; two nephews, Mitchell Hoffman and Wyatt Young; a mother-in-law, Dollie Worthington and a brother-in-law, Ed (Francie) Carmack, both of Vandalia. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Hoffman; and a sister, Cheryl Hoffman. Her Legacy.... Sharon graduated from Elida High School. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lima. She was an avid lover of animals, cats and dogs alike. She rescued countless lost animals and spent time volunteering at The Humane Society of Allen County with her two daughters. Sharon also enjoyed fishing with her father. They spent many hours together fishing at the local reservoirs. She had a passion and talent for art, spending many hours drawing pictures with her children along with her nieces and nephews. Sharon had a real experience with Luke 23:39. Her Farewell Services.... A celebration of Sharon's life will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 19 at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, 506 N. Cable Road, Lima. Rev. Michael A. Phillips will be officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to James Cancer Hospital, 460 W. 10th Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43210 or to The Humane Society of Allen County, 3606 Elida Road, Lima, Ohio 45807.
