Robert G. Weber

Robert G. Weber, 91, of Delphos, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Vancrest of Delphos. His Family.... He was born February 23, 1927 in Ottoville to Albert and Regina (Schmit) Weber. On May 20, 1950 he married the love of his life Rita (Fisher) Weber, and she passed away on June 21, 2005. He is survived by two sons, Rob (Laurie) Weber of Ft. Jennings and Carl (Mary Lou) Weber of Delphos; six daughters, Barb (Larry) Armstrong of Delphos, Linda (Bill) Lisboa of Columbus, Kathy (Charlie) Pugh of Delphos, Mary (Jim) Rode of Delphos, Ginny (Pete) Beko of Jackson Center, and Karen Weber (Sandy Dirkman) of Toledo; a brother, Gene (Posey) Weber of Delphos; a sister, June Link of Delphos; eighteen grandchildren, and twenty-four great-grandchildren, and two on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Rita Weber; two grandsons, Matthew Lisboa and Austin James Weber, and a great-grandson Zachary Robert Weber, Jr.; brother, Joseph Weber; and five sisters, Luella Barkimer, Colletta Schram, Imogene Jackson, Donna Reinemeyer and Helen Geddings. His Legacy.... Bob retired from Warner & Swasey and also retired in 1990 from I&K Distributors. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Bob was an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa. He was a role model to his family, hardworking, and dedicated to the love of his life, Rita. He was the "go-to guy" for anything his family needed. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren with Rita at his side. He will always be remembered for his smile. He will be truly missed by all and finally reunited with Rita. His Farewell Services.... Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 19 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Dennis Walsh officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Austin James Weber Scholarship Fund or the Arthritis Foundation.
