Robert Lee McNamee Sr., 83, of Delphos, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 11:48 a.m., at the Meadows of Delphos Bob was born December 19, 1934 in Bryan to Carl and Mildred (Ragan) McNamee, who both preceded him in death. On October 17, 1959, he married Janet (Bird) McNamee who survives in Delphos. He is also survived by a son, Robert (Marcia) McNamee Jr. of Delphos; a daughter, Cheryl (David) Clark of Delphos; two brothers, James (Gladys) McNamee of Alabama, and Ronald (Jill) McNamee of Indiana; two sisters, Mary Ann McNamee-Hawley of Kentucky, and Connie (Jim) Jones of Toledo; six grandchildren, Amy (Jay) Hyitt, Adam (Cassondra) Clark, Sarah (Nick) Ford, Michael (Jen) McNamee, Matthew (Shannon) McNamee, and Stephanie (Kurt) Echelbarger; and nine great-grandchildren, Conner Hyitt, Cayson Clark, Brodyn Clark, Carter McNamee, Hallie McNamee, Ava Echelbarger, Gavin Seffernick, Gage Seffernick, Ashton Brien, Madison Ford, Maya Ford, and Sienna Ford. He was also preceded in death by an infant brother, Donnie McNamee. Bob was born and raised in Bryan, Ohio, moved to Delphos where he graduated from Delphos Jefferson. He served two years in the Army. Bob managed Charles Shoe Store for several years, and had also been custodian for Trinity United Methodist Church. He was the assistant deputy clerk for the Clerk of Courts in Allen County for almost 30 years. When his health was better, Bob always enjoyed going to the Smokey Mountains in October and also Holmes County. He dearly loved his grandkids, and enjoyed supporting them at their sporting events. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 9 at Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery with military graveside honors conducted by Delphos Veterans Council. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 8 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the church on Friday.
