Robert L. Jones

Robert L. (Bob) Jones Jr., 61, of Delphos, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at 6:11 P.M. at the Van Wert County Hospital. His Family.... He was born June 6, 1954 in Lima to Robert L. and Grace (Feathers) Jones Sr. On August 16, 1975 he married Deb (Gerdeman) Jones. He is survived by his mother, Grace Jones of Delphos; his wife of 40 years, Deb Jones of Delphos; two sons, Ryan (Kristie) Jones of Van Wert and Gregory (Jayme) Jones of Blacklick; a daughter, Melissa (Shawn) Mount of Fairborn; two sisters, Jane (Allen) Elzay and Mary Ann Jones, both of Arizona; nine grandchildren, Lillian, Katelyn and Kenzie Mount and Lauren, Abigail, Emily, Jacob, Samantha and Madilyn Jones; mother and father-in-law, Herb and Clarann Gerdeman of Delphos; in-laws, Ron (Sharon) Gerdeman of Findlay, Mike Gerdeman of Lima and Dale Gerdeman of Delphos; and four nephews, Sam Elzay and Dan, Jeff and Brian Gerdeman. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Jones Sr. His Legacy.... Bob was currently working at the Van Wert County Hospital. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Bob was a hardworking and loving husband, dad and grandpa who loved to travel with his wife, Deb and spend time with his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. His Farewell Services.... Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 1 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Dennis Walsh officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Monday, November 30 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
