Robert E. Combs

Robert E. "Bob" Combs, 82, of Delphos, passed away Monday morning, January 25, 2016, at Roselawn Manor, Spencerville. His Family.... He was born February 1, 1933 to Calloway and Gladys (Gowens) Combs, who both preceded him in death. On June 14, 1952 he was united in marriage to Margie L. Sammons. She survives in Delphos. He is also survived by two sons, Daniel (Connie) Combs of Lima and Richard (Barbara) Combs of Delphos; three grandchildren, Nathan (Amy) Combs of Lima, Alison (Daniel) Edelbrock of Lima and Amber Richardson of Lima; and four great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by all of his brothers, William, Lencil (Popeye), Ronald and Jerry; and one infant grandson, Christopher Robert Combs. His Legacy.... Bob spent his whole life in electric motor shops in Kentucky and Ohio for 43 years. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. His family, especially his grandchildren, was very important to him. Some people work to live, he lived to work. His Farewell Services.... Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos. Diane Combs, minister, assisted by Bob's nephew, Jeffrey Combs, will be officiating. Burial will follow in Carmen Cemetery, Gomer. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27 and an hour before the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
