Patricia F. Geckle

Patricia F. ‘Pat’ Geckle, 79, of Ft. Jennings, passed away Sunday morning, November 14, 2021, at The Meadows of Delphos.

She was born March 5, 1942, in Van Wert County, to the late Hilary and Viola (Calvelage) Pohlman. On August 6, 1977, she married James ‘Jim’ Geckle, who survives in Ft. Jennings.

Pat is also survived by a daughter, Denise Geckle of Ft. Jennings; a son, David (Rachel) Geckle of Maumee; a sister, JoAnn (Melvin) Nomina of Glandorf; in-laws, Susan (Ralph) Trentman of Delphos and Glenda Geckle of Ottawa; and two grandchildren, Allison and Ryan Geckle.

She was preceded in death by in-laws, Eugene VonLehmden and Daniel Geckle.

Pat worked as a secretary all of her life. Most recently she had worked at St. Joseph Catholic Church for 20 years, under four different priests. She was also a full-time homemaker and farm wife. She was a very active member and volunteer at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Pat enjoyed yearly family vacations and tending to her flowers around the house. Pat’s pride and joy were her grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 19 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings. The Rev. Charles Obinwa will be officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, with a parish wake service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour before the time of the service Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
