Norma Jean Goedde

Norma Jean Goedde, 92, of Delphos, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at her home with her family at her side.

She was born November 9, 1929, at the family home in Delphos, to the late Clement and Armilla (Lause) Grone. On May 6, 1950, she married the love of her life, John S. Goedde who preceded her in death March 26, 2006.

Norma graduated from St. John’s High School and is a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed volunteering at the nursing home. She enjoyed learning new things. Norma loved her life and spending time with her family playing games and cards.

She is survived by four children, Deborah (Bob) Elwer of Delphos, Patricia (Gary) Ricker of Delphos, Mark (Lisa) Goedde of Colorado and Tim (Alice) Goedde of Delphos; and a daughter-in-law, Jane Goedde of Delphos. She had 13 grandchildren, Scott (Chrissy) Elwer, Todd (Jamie) Elwer, Aaron (Chris) Elwer, Lynette (Cory) Haehn, Vanessa Ricker, Adam (Kristen) Ricker, Keith (Barbie) Goedde, Kyle Goedde, Lauren (Elliott) Pyles, Eric Goedde, Brian Goedde, Chris (Amber) Goedde and Sarah Goedde; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by her son, Steven Goedde; and sisters, Valeta Beining and Helen Luebrecht.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 1 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will also be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Parish Foundation or to St. John’s School. Online condolences may be shared at www.weberfh.net.
