Michael J. Pohlman

December 31, 1952 — October 21, 2017

Michael J. Pohlman, 64, of Landeck, passed away Saturday evening, October 21, 2017 at St. Rita's Medical Center. His Family.... He was born December 31, 1952 in Lima to Francis ‘Jake' and Bernadette ‘Bernie' (Wurst) Pohlman, who both preceded him in death. On November 28, 1974 he married Karen (Becker) Pohlman, who survives in Landeck. He is also survived by a son, Allan (Amanda) Pohlman of Delphos; two daughters, Melany (T.J.) Knippen of Delphos, and Sarah (Nick) Jamison of West Minster; a brother, Tom (Sherry) Pohlman of Brownsville, Kentucky; three sisters, Irene (Dan) Klausing of Venedocia, Dianne (Bob) Kettels of Findlay, and Becky (Dave) Rott of Lima; four grandchildren, Julius and Francis Pohlman, Casey Knippen, and Declan Jamison; and in-laws, Sharon (Roger) Schroeder of Columbus Grove and Bob (Marilyn) Hamburg of Kalida. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Pat Vonderwell; two brothers, Dan Pohlman and T.J. Pohlman; and a sister-in-law Janet Pohlman Elchert. His Legacy.... Mike worked for D&D Ingredients. He was a member of St. John the Baptist, and the Catholic Order of Foresters 76 in Landeck. Mike was always helping someone. He was a very proud father of three wonderful children. He never knew a stranger. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and enjoyed taking his grandsons on tractor and motorcycle rides. Mike's favorite quote was "Landeck against the world." His Farewell Services.... Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 26 at St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25 with a Catholic Order of Foresters prayer service at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Parish Wake Service; and one hour before the time of the service on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E.
