DELPHOS – Mary Beth Schnipke, age 85, of Delphos, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s.
She was born August 22, 1939 in Delphos to the late Irvin and Florentine (Schnieder) Hanf. On August 24, 1957 she married Kenneth Schnipke who preceded her in death April 19, 2012.
Mary is survived by a son, Scott (Lisa) Schnipke, of Elida; three daughters, Sherry (Michael) Rossfeld of Elida, Shelly Obermeyer of North Lewisburg, and Shirley (Jeffery) Burke of Continental; 11 grandchildren, Ryan (Kacie) Kill, Eric (Dena) Kill, Lyndsie Kill, Jesse (Andrea) Kill, Zachary (Kara) Rossfeld, David (Julie) Burke, Stephanie (Dillon) Wirick, Clarissa (Luke) Case, Alexander (Tatum) Schnipke, Cassandra (Hannah) Schnipke and Aaron Schnipke; 31 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; one brother, Jack (Iona) Hanf, of Fort Jennings; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Hanf of Lima.
She was also preceded in death by a sister Norma (Best) Rode; and brothers, Ted (Lavera)Hanf and Jim Hanf.
Mary worked many years at Pangles Supermarket, retiring from Chief Supermarket as bakery/deli manager. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Mary was an avid volunteer for the State of Ohio Parks. She enjoyed camping, sewing, bowling, and playing cards with her friends. Most of all Mary cherished time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Weber Funeral Home, 1840 East Fifth Street, Delphos. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Sunday at Weber Funeral Home, Delphos and also Monday morning from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Parish Foundation.
