Mary A. Klausing

Mary A. Klausing, 91, of Ft. Jennings, passed away Monday morning, December 21, 2020, at the Meadows of Delphos. She was born April 1, 1929, in Ottoville to Joseph H. and Laura M. (Hamburg) Haselman, who both preceded her in death. On April 20, 1949, she married James B. Klausing, who passed away January 13, 1979. Mary is survived by four daughters, Linda (Kenneth) Burgei of Lima, Nancy (Tom) Pothast of Ft. Jennings, Karen Baum of Van Wert, and Ellen Brown of Ft Jennings; six grandchildren, Todd Burgei, Krista (Sean) Telljohann, Erin (Tim) Fitzpatrick, Nicole (Brad) Niemeyer, Luke (Sabrina) Pothast and Craig (Nicole)Pothast. She is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dianne Mary Klausing; a brother, Aloysius Haselman. Mary was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Catholic Ladies of Columbus, Altar Rosary Society, Ft. Jennings American Legion Auxiliary, and Eagles Aerie #471. She had been employed at many various restaurants and had worked at I & K Distributors for many years. Mary was a very social person, loving her friends and especially her family. She loved travelling and playing cards with friends. A Funeral Mass will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Visitation will also be for one hour before the time of the service Wednesday at the church.
