Marianne R. Mcnamara

Marianne R. McNamara, age 85, of Lima, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 22, 2021.

She was born July 1, 1936, in Ft. Jennings, Ohio, to Ralph and Margaret (VonSossan) Fisher. On September 13, 1958, she married William E. McNamara.

Marianne is survived by her loving family:  husband of 63 years, Bill McNamara of Lima; son, Kevin (Louann) McNamara of Cincinnati, daughter, Cheryl (Gerry) Donahue of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Blake (Meagan) McNamara, Connor McNamara, Kelsey Donahue and Kyle Donahue; one great-granddaughter, Quinn McNamara and a great-grandson on the way.  She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Barb Geise, Barb McNamara, and Carolyn McNamara.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Margaret Fisher; siblings, George (Margie and Donnie) Fisher, Eileen (Clarence) Briggs, Kenneth (Dorothy) Fisher and Rita (Bob) Weber; brothers-in-law: Bob (Carol) McNamara, Jack (Mary) McNamara, Paul McNamara, and Jim Geise.

Marianne was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society. She worked at City Loan for six years and Clyde Evans Grocery/Ray’s/Chief Supermarket for over 22 years. She volunteered at St. Rose Church and School and with the St. Rita’s Medical Center Auxiliary.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose Catholic Church with the Rev. Dave Ross officiating.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the time of the Mass at the church. Private burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose Parish at 222 South West Street, Lima, Ohio 45801.
