Linda L. Meyer, age 77, of Fort Jennings, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2025 at The Meadows of Kalida.
Linda was born December 8, 1947 in Lima to Herman and Marie (Wieging) Meyer and they preceded her in death.
Linda is survived by her brother, Kenneth Meyer of Leesburg, Indiana, and a sister-in-law, Kay Meyer of Fort Jennings. Miss Meyer is also survived by her Godchildren; Alison(Tom) Wallenhorst, Nathan(Lisa) Meyer, Gretchen Meyer and Elizabeth Meyer and her other Nieces and Nephews, Valerie (Duane) Neidert, Michelle (Lowell) Chapman, Kelly (Todd) Cherry, Doug (Heather) Meyer, Cory (Mindy) Meyer, Derek (Alisha) Meyer, Shannon Meyer and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, Gerald “Jerry” Meyer, Donald “Doc” Meyer, and sisters-in-law, Carol Meyer and Karen Meyer.
She was the owner/operator of the Meyer’s IGA running it exclusively after her parents passed away for over 60 years; she had been called the “Candy Lady” serving the town’s kids for many generations. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved traveling to Holmes County and going to the county fairs to watch her nieces and nephews show their 4H projects and animals. Linda dearly loved her great great nieces and nephews; River, Kane, Palmer, Crew, Holden, Braylon, and Bridger, they meant the world to her.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, Fr. Ron Schock, officiating. Burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, December 7, 2025 from 1:00-6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Cemetery.
