Kevin L. 'Lefty" Stocklin

DELPHOS

Kevin L. ‘Lefty’ Stocklin, age 63, of Delphos passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Rita’s surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 6, 1961 in Lima to Thomas Stocklin, Sr. and Carolyn (Hile) Stocklin who both preceded him in death.

Kevin is survived by his daughter, Jessica Merschman (Dennis Richardson) of Lima, and a son Mikal Dodds of Celina; and his grandchildren, Davion Tyson, Madison McClure (Calum Shanahan), and Reese, Rylee, and Jett Merschman. Kevin is survived by two brothers, Thomas Stocklin, Jr. of Lima, and Greg Stocklin of Indiana; sisters, Deborah (Bruce) Denison of Cloverdale, and Michelle Blackburn of Delphos; his dog Lola; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Janice Stocklin; a nephew Matthew Stocklin; and his dog ‘Liza Jane’.

Kevin was a 1979 graduate of Delphos Jefferson. After graduation he went to work for MetoKote of Lima and worked there for many years. He retired from Fetter Finishing. He helped his friend Thomas ‘Papa’ Fetter with his farming. He was a fan of The Ohio State University, The Cleveland Browns and the ‘Indians” and attending high school football games. He was a referee for multiple sports for many years. He was also a fan of sprint car racing. He loved coon hunting and even raised a grand knight champion coon dog, Deacon. Kevin was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and trapping. Most of all he loved attending and watching his grandkids sporting events.

Visitation for Kevin will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, at his request friends and family are asked to wear their favorite Buckeye attire. His funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the funeral home, burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
