DELPHOS – Karen Louise Bockey, age 72, of Delphos, passed away January 16, 2026, at St. Rita's Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 23, 1953 in Lima to Joseph and Helen (Wischmeyer) Siebeneck. On April 1, 1978 she married George Bockey, who proceeded her in death on February 17, 2018.
She is survived by two daughters, Lianne Pohlman (fiancé Richard Parsons Jr.), and Laura (Brian) McDaniel, both of Delphos, and her son -in- law Christopher Spangler of Oak Harbor; six grandchildren, Cheyenne, Isabella, Pippa and Harper Pohlman, and Chloe and Austin McDaniel; two brothers, Thomas (Patricia) Siebeneck of Defiance, and Robert Siebeneck of Ottawa; one sister, Nancy (Gary) Hanneman of Kalida; a brother-in-law, Edward ‘Chip’ (Justina) Bockey of Delphos; two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Schroeder of Glandorf, and Elaine (Thomas) Evans of Delphos; and a brother-in-law, Gene Lauf.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Spangler; parents Joseph & Helen (Wischmeyer) Siebeneck; in laws, Cletus and Josephine (Sager) Bockey; a sister-in-law, Pamela Lauf; a brother-in-law, Lynn Schroeder; and an infant brother, Kenneth Siebeneck.
Karen was a homemaker and had worked at Schnipke Engraving. She was a 1971 graduate of Miller City Schools. She enjoyed going to the Delphos Senior Citizens Center, and going on day trips with her friends. Karen loved spending time with her family, attending all the grandkids’ activities, holidays and birthdays were her specialty. Most of all she was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother.
A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delphos Senior Citizens Center or to the donor’s choice.
