Judith M. Grothouse

Judith M. ‘Judy' Grothouse, 81, of Delphos, passed away Friday morning, February 23, 2018 at Mercy Health-St. Rita's, surrounded by her loving family. Her Family.... Judy was born November 4, 1936 in Delphos to Bernard (Pat) and Blanche (Wurst) Reddington, who both preceded her in death. On December 28, 1957 she married Rudolph J. ‘Rudy' Grothouse, who survives in Delphos. She is also survived by two sons, Charles ‘Chuck' (Cindy) Grothouse and James ‘Buge' (Cathie) Grothouse, both of Delphos; four daughters, Cynthia ‘Cindy' (Patsy Denny) Grothouse of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Laura ‘Cork' (Jay) Ulm of Delphos, Cheryl ‘Sis' (Don) Ditto of Delphos and Lynn (Joel) Brentlinger of Nashville, Tennessee; one sister, Jane (Jim) Fischer of Delphos; and fourteen grandchildren, Nichole Rode, Katie Hermiller, Courtney Grothouse, Ashley Etzkorn, Wes Ulm, Chris Ulm, Andrew Grothouse, Emilee Grothouse, Michael Butler, Nickolas Ditto, Nathan Ditto, Kellen Schomaeker, Abby Brentlinger; four great-grandchildren, Evan, Brooklyn and Jordan Rode, and Chase Hermiller; and a brother-in-law, Richard Suever of Atlanta, Georgia She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Susan Reddington, and Ann Suever. Her Legacy.... Judy was a 1954 graduate of Delphos St. John's. She was a retired Registered Nurse, having worked at St. Rita's Medical Center and then 19 years at Delphos Memorial Home (Vancrest). She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the St. Rita's Nurse Alumni Association. Her Farewell Services.... Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 26 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Dennis Walsh and Rev. Charles Obinwa officiating. Private committal of ashes will be at a later date in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E.
