John Michael Yerick

John Michael Yerick, 82. formerly of Delphos passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at the Dorothy Love Nursing Home, Sidney. He was born June 1, 1936 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Charles and Ruth(Reiter) Yerick who preceded him in death. He was first married to Linda(Carter) Rinehart and she survives in Ft. Jennings. He had been married to Linda-Speakman Yerick who passed away March 16, 2017. John was a graduate of Ft. Wayne Central Catholic High School, and Bluffton College where he played football. John had been a Golf Pro for all of his life. His first professional job was at the Delphos Country Club where he spent 15 years, he also was the pro at Colonial Hills Golf Club, Lima, and lastly at the Limberlost Country Club in Rome City , Indiana. He is survived by a son, Brad(Ann) Yerick of Versailles and a daughter, Candace Louth of Ft, Jennings., a step daughter, Jessica(Randel) Morrisof Rome City, Indiana. Also surviving are his grandchildren; Tyler(Erica) Louth, Andrew, and Alyssa Louth and Paige, Samantha, and John Yerick, and three great grandchildren; Lilly,Harrison, and Carter Louth, step grandchildren; Logan and Ashlin Gromaski and Isabell Morris. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law Bradley Louth. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 24 at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St. Delphos, Fr. David Zink, officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
