He was an electrician who worked for several businesses and was employed as a maintenance electrician at the Fruehauf Corporation for over 30 years. Some of his favorite pastimes were singing, playing the guitar, and friendly games of euchre. He also enjoyed working with his hands, and he could repair nearly every type of machinery he encountered. As his family and friends will attest, he was a man with a generous heart and many talents, but his favorite pursuit was farming the family farm established by his grandfather.
