Jean met her husband, Herb, while he was serving in the United States Air Force in England. Jean absolutely adored her family both in the U.K. and the U.S. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Jean was loved by many and known especially for her classiness, gift of gab and would speak hours of her memories of being evacuated from England during W.W.II. She would always say “even though those were frightening years during W.W.II, everyone loved one another and looked out for each other”. Jean was extremely proud of her English heritage as many trips were taken back and forth for family vacations over the years which helped keep the family both here and the U.K. so very close. Many close friends and family even referred to her as the ‘Queen of Delphos’. She was truly our English Rose. She was admired and loved by many and will be truly missed!
