DELPHOS – Jack E. Adams, age 75, of Delphos, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2026, at VanCrest of Delphos. He was born July 7, 1950 in Lima to Jack and Margaret (Baker) Adams, who both preceded him in death. He married Peggy (Bockey) Adams on June 5, 2005 and she preceded him in death on September 11, 2017.
He is survived by son, Jackson (Deanna Williams) Adams of Delphos; daughter, Natalie (Tony) Doll of Delphos; step-son, Tyler (Laura) Lamb of Hilliard, OH; two step-daughters, Kacy (Shawn) Goetz of Lima and Holly (Daniel) Ackerman of Charleston, SC; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Williams of Delphos and Karen (Joe) Ulm of Delphos; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Edward Bockey.
Jack was a 1968 graduate of Delphos Jefferson, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in the fall of 1968 and served until 1970, at discharge he attained the rank of E5, he was very proud of his service. When he returned home he began working at the Lima Ford Engine Plant, retiring in 1996. After retirement he loved to travel, and did so all over the world. Jack also loved to scuba dive and playing golf. He spent many years coaching the Delphos Raiders Midget Football Team, he also spent a few years coaching football at both high schools. He was a member of the Delphos First Church, Delphos American Legion Post#268, the Delphos Eagles #471, and was an avid fan of the Ohio State University.
A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at First Church, 808 Metbliss Ave. Delphos, the Rev. Rodney Brown, officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Delphos Veterans Council.
Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos and also from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
