Gloria Frances Ladd went to be with the Lord on March 7th, 2025 at St. Rita’s Hospital. She was born June 5, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio to Nelson Sr. and Rosamond (Esterly) Fravel. Gloria’s mother passed away when she was just 5 months old, and Gloria later moved to Fort Jennings to reside with her dear Aunt and Uncle, Maxine (Esterly) and Ned Fry. She graduated from Fort Jennings High School in 1958 and attended nursing school in Toledo.
At age 13, Gloria had met the love of her life, and on July 30, 1960 she married her high school sweetheart, Earl Roger Ladd who preceded her in death.
Surviving are 3 children, Greg Ladd, Doug (Cheryl) Ladd, and Jennifer (Wesley) Klir; two “daughters-in-love,” Janine Ladd, and Susan Stephens Brandt; a brother, David; nine grandchildren, Tyler (Courtney), Spencer, Cayti Kraft (Kevin), Sarah Jacobson (Ross), Kristen Goldman (Mikey), Will (Natalie), Emily Ricker (Seth), Kayleigh, and Joseph. She was also blessed to have nine great-grandchildren, Madilynn, Addilyn, Gabriel, Samuel, Haiden, Luke, Olivia, Ivy, and Olive, with another baby boy expected. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and her brother, Nelson Fravel Jr.
Gloria and her husband, Roger, owned and operated the A&W Root Beer drive-in, The Townhouse Inn, and The Wheel Inn in Delphos for many years.
Gloria had three great loves - her teenage sweetheart and husband, Roger, her family (especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren), and the Lord Jesus Christ. She wanted one thing more than anything else in the world - for her and every member of her beloved family to know and love God in order to be with him in heaven someday.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 28th from 6pm-8pm with a Celebration of Life service to be held on Saturday March 29th at 11:00am at Weber Funeral Home in Delphos, Ohio. Online condolences may be shared at weberfh.net.
