Esther M. Ellerbrock

FT. JENNINGS – Esther M. Ellerbrock, age 74, of Ft. Jennings, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita’s.

She was born September 19, 1950 in Lima to Irvin J. and Adeline R. (Ricker) Pohlman, and they preceded her in death. On June 16, 1973 she married Gerald “Jerry” Ellerbrock and he survives in Ft. Jennings they were married for just three weeks shy of 52 years.

Esther is survived three children, Trina M. Ellerbrock of Fremont, Keith G. Ellerbrock of Ottawa and Renee S. (Aaron-Drew) Watkins of Wilmington, OH; three grandchildren, Emma, Haley and Owen Ellerbrock; a brother, William “Bill” (Janis) Pohlman; and three step-grandchildren, Andrew, Adam and Audra Watkins.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Irene (Monroe) Wireman; brothers, Leroy Pohlman, and Randy Pohlman; in-laws, Monroe Wireman and Chris (O’Brien) Pohlman; father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Lucinda (Sanders) Ellerbrock.

Esther graduated from Delphos St. John’s High School and Carousel Beauty College of Lima with a managing cosmetologist license and worked at Ruth’s Beauty shop prior to marrying Jerry. She is a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She and Jerry enjoyed bus trips to the casinos and vacations. They loved vacationing with the family. Esther was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a homemaker first and foremost to her family and truly loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Charles Obinwa, officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until mass time in the church.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
