Ella Rose Theis

Ella Rose Theis, 85, of Delphos, passed away Friday, November 4, 2016, at Vancrest of Delphos. Her Family.... She was born November 13, 1930 in Delphos to the late Clarence and Mary (Hunsaker) Blockberger. On September 5, 1948 she married Ralph Wendell Theis, who preceded her in death October 8, 2016. She is survived by a son, John (Cora) Theis of Delphos; a daughter; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, John (Julie) Blockberger of Tipp City. She was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Theis; a daughter, Ruth A. Theis; a great-grandson; and a brother, Rolland Blockberger. Her Legacy.... Ella was a lifetime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and had been a member of the Altar Guild. She and her husband, Ralph, enjoyed square dancing for 40 years, belonging to several different dance clubs. She was a 1948 graduate of Delphos Jefferson High School. She enjoyed making noodles and baking angel food cakes. Her Farewell Services.... A celebration of Ella's life will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 7, 2016 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Delphos, Rev. Steve Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, at Weber Funeral Home; and an hour before the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Peter Lutheran Church improvement fund.
