Dorothy A. (Ditto) Odenweller, 100, of Delphos, passed away Tuesday morning, December 22, 2015, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Her Family.... She was born August 22, 1915 in Delphos to Glenn and Augusta (Lang) Ditto who both preceded her in death. On June 22, 1938 she married Vincent M. Odenweller, who died December 11, 1997. Dorothy is survived by three sons, Terry (Sharyl) Odenweller of Delphos; Michael (Janice) Odenweller of Delphos and James (Deborah) Odenweller of Lima; a daughter, Barbara (Michael) Miller of Delphos; a son-in-law, Dr. Donald Whitney of Porter Ranch, CA; sixteen grandchildren, Scott (Nicole) Whitney, Kristen (John) Lowrey, Jeff Whitney, Joy (Jeff) Hays, Trisha (Greg) Klausing, Gregory Odenweller, Mark (Angie) Odenweller, Christine (Owen) Rarric, Aaron (Ruth) Odenweller, Alicia Hullinger, Cassandra Gavalas, Jonathan (Lyndsay) Will, Joel (Stephanie) Will, Chad (Kim) Miller, Adam Miller and Troy Miller; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Ditto. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Whitney; three brothers, Raymond, Clair and Howard Ditto. Her Legacy.... Dorothy was a 1933 graduate of Delphos St. John's High School and was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She was a former member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Delphos Ladies' Club, Delphos Country Club, Ladies' Golf Association and Phi Delta Sorority. Dorothy and Vince spent their winters in Naples, FL for almost forty years. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends. Her greatest love was truly for her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her Farewell Services.... Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. George Mahas officiating. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. on Sunday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Delphos St. John's Parish Foundation.
