Donald 'Jiggs' Eugene Bruskotter

FT. JENNINGS - Donald E. ‘Jiggs' Bruskotter, 88, of Ft. Jennings, passed away Sunday evening, July 8, 2018, at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center. Jiggs was born June 3, 1930 to Leander and Lena (Ricker) Bruskotter, who both preceded him in death. On September 5, 1964, he married Carol (Baldauf) Bruskotter, who survives in Ft. Jennings. He is survived by son, Ron (Karri) Bruskotter of Oxford; two daughters, Sheryl (Russ) Wiedeman of Fort Jennings, and Paula (Brad) Meyer of Batavia, IL; three grandchildren: Tyler and Alyssa Wiedeman, and Emma Meyer. He is also survived by a brother Leonard (Leona) Bruskotter of Fort Jennings. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Doyle Bruskotter; and two sisters, Sharon Bruskotter and Audrey Weber. Jiggs was a lifelong farmer, loving everything about farming and the outdoors. He retired in 1986 from Sylvania in Ottawa after 30+ years. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Jiggs was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ft. Jennings American Legion 715, and the Eagles Aerie 471. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Rev. Charles Obinwa officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery with military honors conducted by Ft. Jennings American Legion. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Weber Funeral Home, 1840 E. Fifth St., Delphos, where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral Mass at St. Joseph Church. It is the family's request to dress casual.
