Deborah K. Dukes

Deborah K. ‘Debbie’ Dukes, 68, of Delphos, passed away Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at The Meadows of Delphos.

She was born October 30, 1954 in Lima to the late Arnold W. and Dolores M. (Suever) Gasser. On June 29, 1973 she married Keith Dukes who survives in Delphos. They just celebrated their 50th anniversary.

Debbie is also survived by a brother, Don Gasser of Ft. Jennings; a sister, Kathy (Charlie) McDonald of Florida; in-laws, Jan Bonifas of St. Marys, Renee Dukes of Texas, Kevin (Nancy) Dukes of Delphos, Maria Dukes Axe of Delphos and Dodie Seller of Delphos; and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis Gasser and an infant brother, Danny; sisters, Carol Bonifas and Elaine (Ken) Miller; brothers-in-law, Richard Dukes and Dr. Gregory Seller.

Debbie began working in high school at the Delphos Memorial Home which later became Vancrest of Delphos, retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Debbie was a talented gardener, sewer and crafter extraordinaire. She was a kindhearted and giving person. Her pride and joy were her two cats, Felix and Oscar.

A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 11 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.  Private burial will be held at a later date. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Monday at the church before the service.
